You Are God's Masterpiece
Updated: Mar 13
So often we feel tired, exhausted, stressed...we are pulled in a thousand different directions each and every day. Some of us work a full time job, then come home to the work of raising children. Others stay home to raise their children and take on their share of duties plus so much more. You might be a grandmother who gives all her extra time to her grandchildren. Or an aunt, a friend, who is always available to offer support to those who need it.
We have all been there. That place of despair and exhaustion, where your faded smile meets the reality of the day. We are tempted to feel like a failure when our fuses are short, when patience is thin. We feel like we haven't done enough when the laundry is still piled up on the floor and breakfast dishes remain in the sink long after dinner time.
It is in these moments, we are called to remember who God says we are.. We are his masterpiece...
Believe it. You are his masterpiece. God looks at you and says, "perfection!" Imagine Jesus looking at you, imagine the love in his eyes. Let that love fill your heart. Let it overcome anything that troubles you. Rest in his promises. Take time to renew your spirit. Breathe. Know you are dearly loved and fearfully and wonderfully made! Let it consume you from the inside out.
Take care of yourself so that you can better take care of others. Remind yourself when you see your tired face in the mirror; you are God's masterpiece. Let those words from Ephesians 2:10 sink in.
