Trusting God In An Uncertain Time
Updated: Mar 22
I learned this afternoon, as many of us did, that all schools in Wisconsin would be shutting down from March 18-April 6. As my school prepared for the inevitable, I could feel the panic in the air. The kids were excited to be missing school but still uncertainty loomed about...we have been planning for online schooling from scratch. We don't have experience with this...how is this going to work?
As I sit here tonight, mentally preparing myself for the weeks to come, I remember the words from Zephaniah 3:17: "For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs."
Our mighty savior is here, living among us! He will calm our fears with love.
I encourage you in this fearful time, to look for Jesus. I see people coming together. Communities of people offering love and help. People offering their services even though this "life-break" might bankrupt their business. I see people offering to deliver meals to those in need; those who rely on school lunches to provide for their children. Look around, what do you see? Where do you see the love of Jesus? I promise, you won't have to look too far.
Remember in the days ahead, he will delight in us with gladness. He will rejoice over us with joyful songs. Do not fear, God is all over this.
